THE SWEDISH EXPERIENCE
For two years Maud Liardon lived in Sweden.The Swedish Experience is an attempt at restitution through short skits (inspired from Ingmar Bergman's movies, or authentic folkloric dances of the Midsummer holiday), of the strange experience of being a foreigner.
The viewer is placed at the heart of this experience, immersed in his own perceptions of the unknown. How does it feel facing a different climate, an incomprehensible language, a new culture made of customs and unrecognizable symboles that sometimes are dismaying for someone who is not an insider?
